World Winner Show 2010

JWW-2010 FUNFLASH Chinook

Charlie won the Junior World Winner 2010!

We left on Friday, driving to Harwich, taking the ferry over to Denmark and then driving a short distance again. I had three dogs with me - Charlie, Clara and Bill.

Linda Forsyth (Silversocks Schnauzers), Linda Jenkins (Wundai Schnauzers) travelled with me. We had such a lovely time together, they have both been absolute gems. They helped out with so much, cheered us on and helped with the grooming. We had so much fun, lots of laughter and chatting, nice wine and good meals!

JWW-10 FunFlash Chinook "Charlie"

Three groomers at one place! Wow, that can sometimes be tricky :-). But not here, Linda Jenkins held the dogs when needed, assisted in everything, and kept the mood up on all three of us. We watched a true experienced pro with so many years as a professional groomer in Linda Forsyth (owner and founder of Mr Groom, Harlow). She scissored the legs so they looked fabulous!

I am so fussy with the grooming and normally I would not let anybody near my dogs before a show. I felt totally secure leaving the legs to Linda Forsyth. Thank you both so much for your time, effort, happy cheering and all support! Could not have done it without you girls! xxxxxxx

FunFlash Bill got Excellent and was placed 5th in a very strong Open Class, Clara got Excellent and got picked in the first selection. I am so proud of all three of them, they are only young and coped with everything so well and they really semed to enjoy it!

JWW-10 FunFlash Chinook "Charlie"

I am also proud to say that not only Simons son did well (Charlie), also Simons grandson - RUCH FINCH Djakartas Isn't It, won BOB! A direct repeat almost from Crufts! Congratulations to Lotta Eriksson and Djakartas kennel, Sweden who bred the now Russian owned (Gloris kennel) Champion!

I can't believe how lucky I am who have had the opportunity to own and handle Simon (IntCH NordCH NordW-03 VetWW-08 Hassan Hills Dangerous) who now is a bit old and stays at home but his genes are still out there in the show ring being successful!

29 May 2010

Congratulations

to my dear friend Mari Andersson, Sweden, Aglaia's boxers, and her boxer boy Jipotimas Marziale alias "Hanto" who passed the BH test today! Well done both of you! xx

16 March 2010

Congratulations to FunFlash Boxers B-puppies!

Already four years old! It was such a joy to have those little babies at home. What lovely carachters they are, every single one of them. Give them lots of kisses from me!

Crufts 13th of March -2010

Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts 2010
FunFlash Chinook "Charlie" got Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts under judge Ms Jennie Harrison Smith.

Charlie showed so well, loving it so much. Just like dad Simon always have done. Simon had to stay at home for the first year which was very emotional for me. He is still well and happy but nostagic to realize that his time now is behind him. But what a shadow he casted on yesterdays Crufts! Grand dad to the Russian owned BOB winner - Djakartas Isn't It (Gloris kennel, Russia) and of course the dad to the Best Puppy in Breed - FunFlash Chinook.

I am so happy and proud about Charlies performance and I can't wait showing him at the World Winner Show in Denmark in Junior Class. But first Schnauzer Club of GB waits the 27th of March. Their 80th anniversary.

What a day at Crufts! So lovely with all supporting people. ThanX to everyone for that. It means a lot!

"ELSWA"
A YouTube clip of Elsa and I having some fun doing clicker training. All behaviours I ask her to do are trained and already put on cue. She listens or look for the cue and does what I ask her. Awful grey day but we had fun!

29th of January 2010

Congratulations Simon on your 10th birtyday!

I can not believe that 10 years already have passed! My little round puppy boy, who was as wide as you were tall when you came to me. A lot of fluffy coat and such a beautiful carachter. You have always loved your food and you still do. I love you to bits my little darling. I am so proud to be your human and I am so thankful to Corinne and Bo who let me buy Simon in March year 2000. He has meant the absolute world to me and he still does.

Now he is old and wise, still full of fun and loves his cuddles. And he gets a lot of cuddles. Always spoiled to be in the sofa, sleeping close to me on his back.

My beautiful, beautiful boy. Happy Birthday! I love you so xxxxx

Now, big and strong, beautiful and clever. And what a friend you are. We have so much fun together! May we have many, many years together my little darling. xxxx

FunFlash Mini puppy buyers on Grooming Course
It was lovely to see Wendy with Freddie (FF Barak Obama) and Christine with Remus (FF Cordanzo) on grooming course yesterday. Well done both of you!

We groomed the whole day, had a lovely lunch break on the pub across the road and we took a nice walk where all the youngters (including the litter sister and brothers I have here) could play with one another which they enjoyed! I don't know about your boys but all mine were really tired in the evening and fell asleep almost immediately when you had left :-).

Happy Birthday to Miniature Schnauzer B-Boys!

A whole year has already passed! Wow! Three wonderful boys that makes us all happy who has them!

Charlie - FunFlash Chinook - Qualified to Crufts at The Miniature Schnauzer Clubs 50th Championship Show
Judge: Mr D. Emslie, Canada

This time it was Charlies first time out in the Show ring. And out of 8 participants in the Minor Puppy Dog class, he got a 2nd and therefore qualified to Crufts 2010. He was the only black & silver in his class and he really seemed to love every second of it. He showed his little socks off. If he has only half of dad Simons (CH Hassan Hills Dangerous) showmanship, I am a happy woman.

ewas dog blog
I have totally forgot both login and password so for the time being it is no use having it as a link. Sorry for being such a plonker. I hope to have it back and regularly updated later this year.

Bill - FunFlash Bill - Qualified to Crufts at City of Birmingham Championship Show 6-9-09
Judge: Barry Day (Risepark)

It was Bills' first Champ show and I was very pleased with how he showed. He really seemed to enjoy it and we had fun. Andrew was there cheering us on which always is wonderful. Met up with a whole lot of Miniature Schnauzer people I have not seen for a long time. It is always such great atmosphere around the Mini ring which of course adds to the whole experience. A friend took pictures of Bill so hopefully I will be able to produce them here on the site within a near future.

Judged Rescue Dog of the Year at RSPCA Maidenhead & East Berkshire Branch 5-9-09
What a lovely event! Great atmosphere and so many dog people there both with their Rescue dogs and other dogs. I was honoured to judge the Rescue Dog of the Year. Further info and pictures on http://www.rspca-maidenheadandeastberks.org.uk/

CAP3
Had a fantastic week in the Cotswolds; Stayed in Mickleton, what a lovely little ancient village that is! The training was immensely interesting and it thoroughly brought me to another level within Shaping, Microshaping, Chaining, On/off Cue, Changeing cues, Delayed rewards, Alternative reinforcers, Defaults, Training plans, Data collection, Merging behaviours and Keeping quality of each behaviour within a chain on new Cue. Working towards the CAP3 criterias now with mainly Elsa. Such a powerful way of training and so much fun!

Svenstavik
I really enjoyed judging puppies on the SSPK Breed Club Champ Show, Svenstavik, Sweden. I had some really lovely little babies in my ring. Lovely arrangement, very well orginized ring stewards and wonderful to be back to meet everybody. Many thanks to SSPK for inviting me.

CAP 3 Clicker Training Week
Next week Elsa and I are going to the third step of the Clicker Assessment Program Week, CAP3. We took, as many of you know, CAP1&2 last year in January and now it is time to take it one step further. I look forward to it immensly. Apart from deeply interesting theories and training for one of the best Clicker Trainers in the world, Kay Laurence (part of Karen Pryors Clicker Expo Team - www.clickertraining.com), at Learning About Dogs it is also a lovely week where Elsa and I get to spend so much time together, staying in a Bed & Breakfast in lovely Cotswolds.

Judging Puppies of Miniature Schnuauzer, Miniature Pinscher, Schnauzer, Pinscher and Affenpinscher
I am honoured to have been invited to Svenstavik, Östersund, Sweden the 1st of August 2009 to judge puppies at the Swedish Schnauzer-Pinscher Club Championship Breed Show. I look forward to it very much.

Charlie and Clara (FunFlash Chinook and FunFlash Coromell)
Charlie and Clara are growing and I am so pleased with them. They are 4 months old now and due their first real grooming. All baby fluff is going! Always sad but also exciting to see what hides beneath it :-). They came to Cornwall with me last weekend. Stayed in a hotel and got to see so many new things. All handled so well. I was so proud of them! :-)
.

Bill (FunFlash Bill)
Bill is a young man now. Elegant and full of substance. I am so pleased with him too. Only 7 months old but so easy, so lovely to be around. His first show will be at Windsor the 4th of July. I am so looking forward to it!

Elsa and BH
First of all, I have lost the log in details to my blog. What can I say? Sometimes I make myself tired. Grrr. However, for anybody who is interested the BH test was cancelled yesterday! Do not know when I can do it now. But it anyhow has to be later at some point.

Training mates
Would anybody be interested in meeting up for regular obedience and tracking training around Isleworth area? Preferably Mondays - Fridays during the day. Even mornings are ok if I can wake up Elsa :-). Please let me know - ewa@funflash.nu or 07824 66 56 28.

Open Obedience Show

The debut of Thatledome Pride'n Joy "Elsa" and Brunnanmoor Minstrel "Stoli" (FTCH Endacott Stoer of Quabrook x Headlywood Tarka) in obedience competitions.

Elsa is just over one years old and she worked concentrated and happily despite the fact that it was people and dogs everwhere, other obedience classes performing in rings just beside ours. The dog beside her (about 1½ yard beside her) got up during the down stay and Elsa sat up. This of course took a lot of point from us. I was, however, extremely proud of her that she did not move more regarding the turbulence that occured around that. We got 77½ out of 100 in total.

Stoli did a good round as well. I was very pleased with his ability to concentrate since I have only trained with him one year and he is now six years old.

They both competed in Beginners Class.

Weather: Horisontal snow-rain. Worst weather since I moved here.
